Your Furever Valentine Update

Bubba Rex (a.k.a. Dexter 66007)

Foster Momma has been busy with lots of stuff lately and said that I could write my own blog post … woot! I can’t wait to tell you about all the things I’ve been doing – like eating stuffies.

Awww, come on … (sigh) fine.”

Momma says that I need to tell you how much better I’ve been feeling. I still itch – especially after my bath and I’ve been getting lots of baths lately. Momma calls them spa days and I’ve had one every Monday for the last few weeks, but it’s still a bath. The nice vets and volunteers at the Wake County Animal Center (WCAC) said that I was quite the “drama llama” — whatever.

I still have the mange.

“What? Okay.”

Momma says to be sure and tell you that I’m not contagious and it’s called Demodex. Blah, blah, blah.

The cool thing is that my cold is gone which means that I can take walks with other dogs and go places with Momma – stupid weather had to get cold and momma said I had to stay home. And even though I still have mange my fur is growing in really nice and everyone that’s met me befoer said that I look FABULOUS.

Our handsome foster boy ...

“What? No. No, I’m typing it straight into the interwebs. I don’t need to stinkin’ editor. Yes, ma’am. But he’s busy with his college stuff. Yes, ma’am. Sorry foster dad.”

Today was another “spa day” and the good news is that they gave Momma some medicine that will help with the itching and I only have to go in for a bath every two weeks and they’re going to change the kind of shampoo they’re using. All I can say is that a spa day can really wear a guy out.

Time for me to go. I hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s Day and if you need an extra special Valentine I’m your guy; just contact the WCAC or Momma and we’ll plan a date.

Please be my Valentine!
